I was visiting this area for business and saw what looked like a local mom and pop kind of pizza place. I gave it a chance and am very glad I did. I was greeted by Courtney and quickly seated. I ordered a medium "Cecil's Special" pizza. It was St. Louis style thin crust with sausage, onions, green peppers, bacon and cheese. It was awesome! Wasn't heavy. Perfect pizza in a nice little place right on Gravois Road. Total bill, including a large icy cold Mountain Dew, was $14.77. Great value for what is truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I will definitely come here again if I'm back in the area.

About a month ago, my fiance and I decided to order a late lunch/early dinner of pizza at this local pizzeria. We both haven't eaten here for a few years and wanted to give something different a shot. I placed an online order and received an email confirmation with an estimated arrival time of 3:36. We waited and waited. No pizza. I called the restaurant at 4pm and was put on hold for 5 minutes (by the way, there is no hold sound more irritating than a steady, loud "BEEP" in your ear) I explained the situation and was put on hold for a few more minutes. I was then told they never received the order. I told them to cancel the order because we have already been waiting almost an hour and a half. So apparently, even though I received an email confirmation AND they charged my credit card (they had to give me a refund), they never received the order. If you by chance want the pizza (keep reading...you may not), do NOT order online because the system is clearly faulty. We were hungry and mad at this point with no pizza coming our way. The restaurant then called back and said they would give us a $20 credit for future purchase. Too little too late? Maybe. But I decided to cool off and give them another shot "some day". I also appreciated the attempt to rectify a bad situation. I emailed the situation to the general customer service so that they could be aware and work to fix the online ordering system. I never received a response to that email.. Some day ended up being yesterday -- I called and expected for some type of credit to pop up once I gave them my phone number (as I was told). Nope. So, I spend the next several minutes explaining to the staff member and then the manager what happened. "I'm sorry we have no record of this and can't give you a credit because you say so." Uhh... So they got my phone number, called the manager who worked that day to see if they happened to remember, and would call me back. He remembered! But apparently forgot to put it in the system that I get a credit. Sigh. This time, we opted for pick up (fool us once...) and my fiance went and got the pizza and toasted ravioli. The toasted ravioli were hot and decent. The pizza however...let's just say that I've never met a pizza I didn't like (heck, I have a whole list on Yelp for pizza!) until I met this one. It just wasn't good...the cheese and crust were crummy and the toppings were over seasoned. My fiance, who eats for a living, didn't like it either. My advice: skip yourself the headache and hunger pains of the faulty ordering system/poor communication system for a pizza that's not worth it (even if it's free).

Am in taking advantage of a coupon for a free 14 inch pizza, guess I should have read the fine print. Paid 3.89 for 2 waters, waitress failed on telling me that a purchase was necessary. Pizza was good though

I hadn't been to this Cecil's in YEARS since we had a local place that was really good but it closed so what the heck? I have ordered about 7 times in the last few months from them & always had great quick service. The pizza is good, actually it's really good, the toasted ravioli & other appetizers we've gotten have been good too. The salads are OK, too. The usual that you get from a pizza place, not the healthiest stuff in the world but if you go to a pizza place for healthy, then your messed up anyway. Someone else reviewed that their website ordering is messed up. I've used it several times & it's great. Only for pick up, it's nice i can order, pay & my husband can just pick up (he's really only good at the manual labor - no pesky decision making for him). Sometimes they have online only discounts so you can't beat that.

Occasionally the pizza is amazing. But for the past few times it has been cold and not enough toppings. Oddly enough their pizza is always best on the weekends. The service is always very nice and friendly.

I am not normally a fan of thin crust, but the pizza here does have good sauce and generous topping. Much better than the other thin crust place in town.

Located on the corner of Gravois and Weber, this is a good family resturant. Nice eat in or carry-out restaurant. Good thin crust pizza, huge salads and extras. Friendly staff.
